Nutrition is a primary focus of the Digestive Health Center of Louisiana and many disorders of the digestive system are linked to obesity.  For that reason, our physicians founded the region's first gastroenterologist-run center for the treatment of overweight/obesity and its impact on health.  Our staff is committed to improving the health of our region through meaningful, substantial, lifelong weight control.

• OPTIFAST^® Programs - Provide comprehensive nutritional therapy with an average weight loss of 52 pounds in 18 weeks. These programs are based 30 years of clinical research are continually updated by leading obesity experts.
• Metabolic testing - We offer REEVUE®, a ten minute test to calculate basal energy expenditures in our clients and monitor their weight-loss progress scientifically. This offers customized caloric intake to improve weight loss goal achievement, as well as improve our oversight of nutrition treatment in patients with gastrointestinal illness.
