PATHWeigh Two

Path Weigh IIThis program is a partial meal replacement plan that follows the same principle of stimuli narrowing in PATHWeigh I in that the formula is used as a tool to help you control calorie intake, but self-prepared meals are also utilized.  The meal plan is designed by you and the dietitian and is based on your unique metabolic rate.  It is easy to follow and accommodates busy schedules.

What to expect?

A health screening will be completed to determine your medical monitoring requirements.  Underlying medical conditions may require a complete medical assessment, including a physical exam, EKG, and lab testing with one of our physicians.

  • After the initial assessment, a 10 minute metabolic test will be performed and a meal plan will be designed by you and the dietitian and is based on your metabolic rate.

Active Weight Loss

You'll consume the OPTIFAST® meal replacement formulas and self-prepared meals.  You will also begin important lifestyle changes.

  • Weekly weight, blood pressure, pulse, and progress checks
  • Monthly medical visits with nurse practitioner
  • Scheduled lab tests to monitor health and assist in medication/nutrition adjustments
  • Weekly lifestyle education classes and support
  • Led by dietitians, exercise specialists, and counselors
  • Supportive educational materials
  • Optional meetings with counselors for additional support are available

Transition

During this phase, more food is gradually introduced back into the meal plan; however, calories remain low so weight loss is still significant.  All of the meal plans include complete nutrition.  This is a critical time for continued support and lifestyle change education.

  • Two mandatory meetings as well as regular weekly check-ins with the dietitian:
  • During the first meeting, the transition meal plan is put together. Covered topics include dealing with the transition, staying in control, proper portion sizes, individual food preferences or needs, and handling special occasions.
  • The second meeting occurs prior to joining the RightWeigh long-term weight management program. During this meeting, long-term meal plans are created to ensure lasting results. The challenges of managing weight long-term, getting back on track, and specific nutrition questions will also be addressed.

RightWeigh Lifestyle Program

Upon completion of  PATHWeigh II, the patient is automatically enrolled in the RightWeigh lifestyle program.  This long-term weight management program helps you maintain a healthy weight over time, particularly in the critical first year after completing the program.
